I've had a lifelong love of backyard gardening and have produced at least some edible food from my yard every year of my adult life, but it has always been with a hit-and-miss "let's plant this on a whim" approach that has happened to turn out well for the most part. I'd like to change my approach this year and start to learn more about the planning that goes into planting, maintaining, and harvesting a high-yield backyard garden. What better way to learn than to challenge myself to grow a ton of food in one year?
